Join the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and Taras Dobko, rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) as a community of scholars who have worked on/in Ukraine present their work in brief 15 minutes slots. We will see the many ways ND is connected to Ukraine and UCU, we can learn from each other, and the exercise will help Rector Dobko to plan the next steps in designing the collaboration between Notre Dame and UCU.
The Nanovic Institute is committed to creating a “Ukrainian Studies Hub,” i.e. a coordinating center where we know of Ukraine-related work on campus, where we are connected with ND colleagues engaged in Ukraine, and where we organize on a regular basis visiting scholars, joint events, and research projects with our Ukrainian partners, a “Ukrainian Studies” book series with Notre Dame Press, and in peace times faculty-led immersions and service learning for ND students in Ukraine. Those who are interested in joining our Ukrainian Studies community are particularly encouraged to attend.
