Celebrate Ukraine Independence Day with the Ukraine Society at the University of Notre Dame (USUND) and the Nanovic Institute for European Studies on Thursday, August 24, in the Jenkins Nanovic Halls Forum. This event will feature Ukrainian photos, art, and cultural exhibits, as well as songs and reflections.

During the first hour, there will be an open exhibition, food, and beverages available. Then a short program will begin at 5:15 p.m. with an invocation, followed by remarks by Taras Dobko, rector of Ukrainian Catholic University (provided via pre-recorded video); Clemens Sedmak, director of the Nanovic Institute and professor of social ethics in the Keough School of Global Affairs; and student members of USUND.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to, as Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., said 18 months ago, “bring to Ukraine healing and hope” and stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people during this time of war. All Notre Dame students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.
