Biography
Prof. Della Rossa’s teaching interests include all levels of German language and culture as well as courses in English, such as a course on the European fairy tale tradition that includes modern adaptations and a course on memory and memorialization which she teaches in the Summer Berlin Program. As co-director of the International Economics major she teaches the Senior Research Project seminar and has recently begun teaching an intermediate-level language course on German economics and politics. Prof. Della Rossa’s primary service obligation to the department is as Director of Undergraduate Studies which allows her to get to know our students on a personal level and work with them throughout their undergraduate studies and cheer them on as they begin their careers. In 2015 she received the Dockweiler Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Advising. Prof. Della Rossa is currently the Treasurer for the Coalition of Women in German.
